I spend a lot of time looking at peoples' photography here at Deviantart. I have recently commented on some photos and I have found myself pointing out little features that detract from some pictures being even better.

As you may have discovered, I have strong opinions about photography - particularly about composition. I also think high contrast is silly in almost every circumstance; but there are exceptions. Blur can be used effectively but most of the time it is an image quality flaw.

I got to thinking - there is precious little of my own photography here. In a past life, photography was both a hobby and a profession of mine. Why should not I post some of my photography and let it be subjected to the same scrutiny I have inflicted on other peoples' work?

I originally joined Deviantart so that I could share some of my Blackbox themes; but obviously, there is much more here than computer desktop stuff.
